A new CHEST was created by the Mayor and Council in 2019. Memo from selected CHEST members to Mayor Bowser and Council Chair Mendelson.

The 2008 CHEST was created by legislation enacted by the District of Columbia City Council in 2006. NO MURDERS DC was a driving force behind the legislation.

Two of the PDFs are the original legislation and the final bill that included language that created the CHEST.

The Tour for Life PDF is an overview of “a community engagement and conversation platform developed and implemented by NO MURDERS DC and Curtis Mozie of the Tale of the Tape Foundation. The tour built off of powerful video taken in D.C. over 20 years by Curtis Mozie of the impacts of homicide. Over the years the Tour has held sessions at places including jails, detention centers, police training academies, churches, recreation centers, local Universities.

Homicide Watch DC is a “community-driven reporting project covering every murder in the District of Columbia.”
